My Favorite Hero
Heros are not only those that we see in the movies and comics; heros do really exist.
When we speak about real heroes, all that we could conceive is the military men.
The first intergovernmental military organization ie the UN peace keeping force was formed in 1945.
The intergovernmental force which was led by the hero that I'm talking about was much before that in August 1942.
He fled his won country in order to make it free.
Yes, there is one and only hero who can be related to the above said information.
It's none other than Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. Popularly known as Nethaji.
He was born in the erstwhile Bengal Province to Janakinath Bose and Parbhavathi Dutt Bose in 1897.
Though he was born in a well to do family he fought for the independence of India.
He's also an able politician, capable of motivating the young youth and was elected as the president of the INC in 1938. However, was ousted due to differences in opinion with Mahatma Gandhi.
He fled the country in 1940 when he was placed under house arrest by the British.
He reached Germany in 1941 where the leadership offered sympathy for the independence of India. Later in 1941 a Free India centre was set up in Berlin with German funds and soon a free India radio in which Bose broadcasted nightly.
Adolf Hitler, the world's greatest dictator and Bose met in 1942 and agreed to create a free India legion from the PoW captured by the Afrika Korps of the German army. Later in the light of the Japanese Victory Bose became keen to move to the east. He was offered a German submarine by Hitler. In Madagascar he was transferred to a Japanese submarine and reached Japanese-held Sumatra.
There he raised and became the supreme commander of the Azad Hind Fauj with Japanese aid.
The Azad Hind Fauj was short lived and in an attempt to attack and enter the NE of India almost half the Japanese and full half the INA soldiers were killed.
He created the provisional government of India, outside India and declared himself, its PM. Earlier, when asked by Hitler if he's going to rule India, his answer was India will be a democracy with M K Gandhi as its PM, after its liberation.
He married Emilie Schenkl and gave birth to a baby girl in 1942. Despite the fact that he had a family outside India and his parents in India he sacrificed everything for Indian independence.
It's believed that in 18 August 1945 he died in a plane crash due to third degree burns. But considering his sacrifice he may be deemed as eternal by all Indians who enjoy freedom today.
His ashes are kept in Renkoji Temple a Buddhist temple in Tokyo. The government declassified the Bose files but is reluctant to do a DNA test from the ashes even after several requests from Bose's family.
The case of Gumnami baba is widely believed by the public but not by Bose's family. There's a book on it "Gumnami baba: A case history ".
There are several reports stating that he was in Russia as a PoW and died there. There's book on it "Prisoner of Yakutsk"
There are a lot more viz "Bose:India's Biggest Coverup ", "Conundrum", "What happed to Subash Chandra Bose?","Your Prime Minister is Dead" etc.
In my personal opinion Bose's can't be dead he's eternal he lives in the heart of every young Indian.
It's worth pointing out that he's the reason behind more youth joining the Army.
Thank You...
Cheers...
